These terms apply when you use pinewoodpropertyconsultants.com (the “site”), which is run by Pinewood Property Consultants, a brand of Vallal Jothy Developers (“Pinewood”, “we”, “us”). 1. About Pinewood and this site
Pinewood Property Consultants is a brand of Vallal Jothy Developers, a partnership firm, VJD’s Mitra, Plot No 22, Door No. A-3, Third Floor, EB Colony, 2nd Street, Adambakkam, Chennai 600088, Tamil Nadu, India. We help buyers, sellers, land owners, promoters and NRIs with property paperwork, verification, management and maintenance. This site explains our services and publishes guides to help you understand property matters in Tamil Nadu.
2. Information on the site is general
The guides, articles, checklists and examples on this site are general information. They are not legal, tax, financial or valuation advice, and they are not a substitute for advice on your own property. Every property and every transaction is different, so please get advice on your specific situation before you act.
Government procedures, fees, forms, portals, guideline values and laws change, sometimes quickly, and they can differ between offices. We try to keep the site accurate and we date time-sensitive information, but we cannot promise that every page is current or complete. Before you rely on a fee, timeline, eligibility rule or procedure, check it with the official source, such as the relevant Tamil Nadu or Government of India department or portal.
Some guides use illustrative examples with invented first names to explain how a situation can work. They describe typical situations. They are not accounts of real clients unless a page says so.
3. No engagement until we agree in writing
Reading the site, sending a form, calling us or messaging us on WhatsApp does not make you our client and does not create an obligation on us to act. We start work only when we have agreed the scope, fees and timelines with you in writing, and that agreement then governs the service. If these terms and a signed engagement letter conflict, the engagement letter applies to that service.
We do not guarantee any outcome, such as a registration, an approval, a transfer of records, a price or a date, because these depend on documents, third parties and government offices that we do not control.
4. Using the site
You may use the site for lawful, personal or business purposes connected with your own property matters. You agree not to:

5. What you send us
Please give us accurate and complete information through the contact form or any other channel. You are responsible for what you send and for having the right to share it, including any documents that belong to other people. Please do not send original documents, passwords, OTPs or payment card details through the contact form or WhatsApp. We will tell you how to share documents safely when we begin work.
6. Our content and brand
The text, guides, images, illustrations, logo and design on this site belong to Pinewood or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read the site, print or save a page for your own use, and share a link to it. You may quote a short extract with a clear credit and a link to the original page. For any other use, please ask us first.
7. Links to other sites and services
The site links to services we do not run, such as government portals, WhatsApp, Google Maps and social media platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We would like to resolve any concern with you directly first, so please write to us and give us a fair chance to put it right. If it cannot be resolved, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under law to bring a claim elsewhere.
